Get credit for making energy-saving insulation project and home improvements! Home and property owners could get a tax credit for up to 10% of the purchase price of qualified products, up to a maximum of $500 for all home improvements.
In order to claim this energy tax credit, you must have purchased the qualified improvements and install them during the appropriate Tax Year. To qualify for the credit, the energy-saving improvements must have been made on an existing home (not a new construction) which was your primary residence, and you owned.
For insulation projects, you can claim a maximum of $500 (installation costs do not count). Insulation projects are the easiest, most cost-effective way to save energy in your own home and now you can recieve tax credit for the improvements you make.
You will need to submit this along with your receipt once your insualtion project is complete.
