VersiFoam® is also available in a 2 pound per cubic foot density with slower reactivity. Where most of our foams are tack free in approximately 30 to 45 seconds, the Slow Rise formula is tack-free in approximately 3 minutes. This is useful in applications where the foam needs to flow to distant areas before it solidifies. The Slow Rise formula will expand approximately six times its original liquid volume, therefore, the Slow Rise foam is NOT recommended for use in wall cavities where one or more sides of the wall are gypsum wallboard or other material that would not withstand the pressure of the expansion.
The VersiFoam® Slow Rise System is 97% closed-cell and has an insulation R-value of 6.7. The VersiFoam® Slow Rise formula is available in several different sizes depending on the application and only available in Class I flame-retardant formulation.
